The Chianti

Tuscany is a region full of strong emotions and passion which naturally extends to food and wine.

This is particularly reflected in the Chianti (also called Chiantishire), a really magic place, set between Siena, Florence and Arezzo and characterized by its rolling hills full of vineyards which make of this land an extraordinary countryside!

Chianti is famous all over the world not only for its particular waving fields, for its high quality wines, for its extra virgin olive oil, but also for the variety of century-old hamlets, castles and churches which make Chianti a great region for daily getaway and join a cultural trip to a gourmet food and wine tour: you can stop in small medieval villages along the way for sightseeing and learning about local history and traditions and then visit a couple of typical Chianti wineries, where you’ll be able to taste the products of this region: the younger Chianti Classico DOCG wine to the older and prestigious Chianti Riserva and Supertuscan – and maybe even Vinsanto, Grappa and Extra Virgin Olive Oil accompanied by other local product like Tuscan ham, cheese or the famous biscuits “cantucci”...
