San Gimignano is a town in the province of Siena, one of Tuscany’s most famous and appreciated tourist villages. It is located atop a hill overlooking the Val d’Elsa. It has an urban structure in medieval style that has developed between the IX and XII century. It’s completely enclosed by walls built in the mid-1200s and it has beautiful buildings and medieval churches to visit. As well as its beautiful monuments, San Gimignano is well known for the wine produced in this area: the Vernaccia di San Gimignano.
