This year the New Year’s Eve in Siena is under the banner of good music and hospitality: from 8:00 pm on 31^st December, until the midnight countdown, Piazza del Campo will be the perfect setting for a long musical marathon with artists and performances from the other cities that – as Siena – have been designed as the Italian Capital of Culture! To end into the night with a very special discotheque…

New year’s Eve in Siena will host musicality from every part of Italy: from popular melodies by “Orchestra la Notte della Taranta” that will bring in Siena from Lecce the rhythms of the Salento’s famous typical ballads (pizzica and taranta), until the marching band “P. Funking Brass” from Perugia that melts music and movement with its repertory of funk, disco music, soul, jazz and blues, as the musical proposals from Ravenna and Cagliari. Siena will be instead represented by Matteo Addabbo& the Funk Destroyers, with its ’70s sound  played in original songs and revisited covers.

The historical city center of Siena will be so animated in the first part of the evening by street bands, while the stage in Piazza del Campo will shows original concerts, until the midnight strike.

After the proper toast, the evening will continue, always in Piazza del Campo, with the biggest Italian “Silent Disco”, with 10.000 headphones and 4 deejays that will keep dance the square under the starry sky. Silent Disco is new trend more and more on hit:  headphones by rent allows to select many different channels, so everyone can decide the favorite dj to listen among the 4 that will be there! And to have a little rest.. just take off the phones!
