Elegant and refined bedrooms, service focused on our guest’s needs, suites created with careful thought inspired to design and art – all in an inimitable setting. This means to be a luxury hotel in Tuscany, where the word luxury is simply the constant search of our guest’s satisfaction. This 53 sq.m. room (over 570 sq.f) is located on the second story and displays an impressive ceiling height of about 5 meters (over 16 feet). It has a king size bed that can be arranged as twin beds. A sofa bed Innovation by Danish designer house Casacopenhagen can welcome an extra person.
This monumental room offers a majestic volume with enormous wooden beams supported by sculpted corbels in the shape of cherubs and with an impressive painted frieze representing the seventeen contrada of Siena, the city districts that face each other twice a year during the famous horse race known as the Palio.
The bathroom sits in a glass cube embracing the fantastic view though large windows on the Rocca Salimbeni, a fortified palace from the 13th Century, part of the historical headquarter of the Monte dei Paschi Bank, the oldest bank in the world and still running! An historical reminder of the power and wealth of the city of Siena built on their innovative concept of banking system in the 12th Century, between Roma and France, “la francigena”…
Indoor wood shutters and flax doubled-curtains with embroideries from the French Maison Boussac bring comfort and silence to the room.
On the design side, our guests can enjoy the originality and the luxurious details of the wardrobe in the form of a stack of leather suitcases by Maarten de Ceulaer, chairs and armchairs very design Ester in white leather by the 2013 Good Design Award winner Patrick Jouin, table 70/70 by TAF Architects for Muuto, extra large mirror Kartell on the desk side. A large painting from fabulous Amsterdam’s artist Cathalijn Wounters completes the scene.
